Dr. Sarah Coyne (Dr. Sarah), a Newtown local, received her doctorate graduating with honors from Northeast College of Health Sciences in 2021. During her studies, Dr. Sarah was chosen to be a student tutor in Physiology, Biochemistry and Pathology classes. She has certifications in Basic and Functional RockTape Procedures and is currently completing her Masters in Clinical Nutrition at Northeast College of Health Sciences.
Dr. Sarah completed her clinical experience at South Shore Neurologic Associates in Riverhead, Long Island where she worked with a variety of patients in a multi-disciplinary setting. She specializes in movement disorders of the spine and extremities so she her patients are able to participate in the activities they love.
Dr. Sarah is originally from Newtown, PA where she grew up playing soccer, basketball and travel softball for The Newtown Rock. She was awarded a Division 1 softball scholarship at the University of Maine where she majored in Kinesiology & Physical Education. During her time at UMaine she was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and named a scholar athlete.
As a former college athlete, Dr. Sarah empathizes with the stress of balancing the demands of everyday life and being active. At Advanced Spine and Sports Medicine, she is achieving her goal to work together with a dedicated team to help guide patients towards pain-free movement and lifestyle.
In her free time, Dr. Sarah enjoys getting outside and staying active. She loves running, hiking, yoga and spending time with her friends and family. Dr. Sarah is excited to be back in the area serving her community so her patients are able to participate in the activities they love.
